Morgen ist der zweite Ruhetag der Bayreuther Probezeit. Wir denken, dass ein Ausflug nach Bamberg mit dem Fahrrad waere in Ordnung. Hoffentlich wird uns das Wetter nicht dagegen spielen. Beim Siegfried sind wir bis zum Drachenkampf durch. Jeder Tag ist eine neue Erfahrung. Nach und nach gestalten wir einen Siegfried, den ich bisher nie erlebt habe. Heute mit dem Waldvogel hat es echt Spass gemacht, und ich glaube die Szene wird sehr poetisch sein. Schon gibt's eine schoene Stimmung unter den anwesenden Kollegen beim Ring. Ich fuehl mich richtig wohl dort. Leider hat sich das Wetter abgekuehlt und die Sehnsucht nach Italien waechst mit jedem Grad, das nach untern faellt. Aber, in unsrem Schloss ist die Gastfreuchschaft immer herrlich, und das koestliche Abendessen mit gutem spanischen Rotwein ist immer ein traumhaftes Mittel der Seele Komforts zu bereiten.
Tomorrow is second day off during the Bayreuth rehearsal period. We thinking that a trip to Bamberg with bikes would be in order. Hopefully the weather will play along. In Siegfried we've made it through to the dragon slaying. Every day is a new experience. Slowly but surely we're shaping a Siegfried with whom, up until now, I've never had the experience to present. Today with the Woodbird we had quite a bit of fun and I think the scene will come across very poetic. Already there's a nice atmosphere among the colleagues who are present for the Ring. I have a feeling about there in the theatre. Unfortunately the weather has cooled down quite a bit and my longing for Italy grows with every dip in temperature. But, in our Schloss the hospitality is always great and the wonderful food with good spanish wine are excellent means of comfort for the soul.
